Mask Policy

As you all know it is no longer a requirement to wear face masks, other than when visiting healthcare facilities. It is however recommended that you continue to wear a mask as a way of protecting yourself and others from infection, especially at crowded indoor settings.

Although businesses are no longer required to ensure people wear face masks, they may encourage it or make it a condition of entry or have policies under the Health and Safety at Work Act that require face masks to be worn under certain circumstances (ie in close proximity with vulnerable workers, poorly ventilated spaces etc) to keep their staff and customers safe.

As we are a small team with some immunocompromised, we have unanimously decided as the Sit Happens team that we would like everyone to continue mask wearing in our trainings as the locations are not well ventilated and we often get quite close to one another in training. Whilst your trainer will remain masked up throughout the whole session, you may remove your mask once inside and at your allocated training spot, when you are physically distanced from others if you so wish, but whenever in close range of other clients or the trainer, we would ask that you remain masked up. So if you are masked, the trainers will be happy to approach you and your dog and will be able to help show exercises in your area and you will also be invited to actively get amongst it in the socialisation session if that is part of the specific training you booked. If you prefer not to wear a mask your puppy can still join the socialisation part of class, but you would be asked to stay behind a barrier, so we can all keep each other safe.

Face masks must cover a person’s nose and mouth and be secured to their head by ear loops or a head loop.
